About this Minneapolis Home Building Project:

Minneapolis Home Building Project

We took on this Minneapolis home building project at the corner of the famous street in known as Mount Curve. This area features classic homes with stunning and luxurious architecture.

For this Minneapolis home building project, we were influenced by the work of the Italian Renaissance Revival architecture in America, which took place at the time Mount Curve was being platted and built. This style usually features a variety of window styles throughout the home. The upper floor will have different windows than the bottom floors, for example. In addition, this style usually calls for the home’s exterior architecture to feature flat roofs and a rectangular structure. As you can see from the photos to the right, we created unique window designs for this home. The bottom floor windows of this home feature an arch that is divided from the primary window.

We worked closely with the Palladian style’s formal proportioning. The street elevation helps to display the period’s characteristic “loggia” tower composition featuring grand pillars.

We made sure that the grand central stairway anchored the home’s interior spaces. We completed the interior of the home with a traditional backdrop in mind. However, the interior design was modernized for today’s sensibilities. The finished stairway was grand and enhanced the elegant appeal of the lower floor.

To add a stylish appearance to the home’s interior, we Minneapolis Home Building Projectpainted many of the walls with light, soft colors. We felt that this was a great way to support he visual appeal of the dark flooring on the lower level and light carpet in the master bedroom. We installed durable and reflective flooring and granite countertops for the kitchen and bathrooms. This gave the rooms a stunning appearance that will last for years.
